Technical Assistance
North American Management has provided housing expertise to Housing Choice Voucher programs, (ROSS, FSS, SEMAP) by providing written policies, procedures and program manuals, and conducted resident, landlord and community based meetings and support services. Technical assistance was provided in areas of lease-up and occupancy functions, wait list administration and inspections. We have provided support with HCV Program Utilization Plans, HCV Financial Management, SEMAP and Program Utilization.
Program Assessments
North American Management has conducted Housing Choice Voucher program assessments and Memorandums of Understanding by identifying and resolving deficiencies and implementing recovery strategies.
Training
Our housing experts have provided board governance, executive training and performance based training on new housing regulations, policies, initiatives, and procedures, always emphasizing the needs of the adult learner receiving current information on new rules, regulations, formulas or directives relative to family self-sufficiency, income targeting and tenant/landlord reform, leasing, and the merger of Section 8 certificates and vouchers.
Policy and Research
North American Management has provided a comprehensive suite of policy and research support to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development and directly to Public Housing Agencies in the areas of management analysis, research, data validation and report development. We’ve conducted, examined and analyzed agencies policies and procedures relating to personnel, travel, internal controls, risk mitigation, contracting, quality control reviews, tenant occupancy, maintenance and financial management. We have conducted financial reviews and analysis of audited and un-audited financial statements and records including budget, management, accounting, financial conditions and the assessment of information needs and recommendations for improvement.
